The client have a portfolio of businesses including farming, property, haulage and quarrying. The classic cars, a Mercedes Benz 170 Va 1950, Mercedes Benz Cabriolet 1959 and a Lotus Omega 1993 were a personal investment purchase.
The three classic prestige cars were located in Holland and due to the location of the assets, our client had to pay up front to the dutch dealer and provide Charles & Dean with proof of payment. Once the three vehicles were successfully purchased and returned to the UK we secured a finance agreement and returned the full balance back to the customer.
Due to the age of the vehicles and nature of the volatile classic car market, sourcing funds for the vehicles was no mean feat. Initially finance was difficult to get approved, due to the fluctuating stability of the classic car market and exchange rates but our team persevered and managed to secure the full amount for our clients, with a structured sale and HP agreement over 60 months and 100% of the initial payment funding was returned to the customer’s account on the same day.
Our client was extremely pleased to have not only found all three classic cars for a fantastic price, but to enjoy a family break to Holland, drive their new cars home and to have finance secured on the same day they returned to the UK was the icing on the cake. Our clients intend to keep their three classic cars in a secure storage facility in perfect condition ready for classic car shows around the UK and will benefit from their appreciating value.
